Hope Has Wings
Since we re-opened our physical doors in 2021, we have revisited the concept of Hope more than once. In these years that could one day still fall under the era of "Post-Pandemic" the experience of Hope can be challenging to fully experience. It seems to come and go, rise and fall, sometimes without much space between the ground and its flight.
This is where the importance of community comes in, yet again. We are here to remind each other and hold each other, because though we share some amount of a collective experience we are not all moving through the drudges at the exact same time or in the exact same way. This gives us the ability to be there for one another, remembering that others can also be there for us. We are here to remind each other that it's okay to hold on to hope, not only when it's easily accessible but – perhaps most importantly – when times seem to be their darkest.
Hope can be defined as "wanting something to happen or be true," to "cherish a desire with anticipation," to "desire with expectation of fulfillment," or to "expect with confidence, TRUST." It can be wrapped up in appreciating something as it is, or it can be woven into the light of an intention that guides us through dark times… ultimately trusting that all will unfold at the right time in the right way. This is not passive, but is the constant action of hoping.
During the next few weeks, we will have blank notes hung up at the front desk of the studio for everyone to share their Hopes for others to read. This could be something you see that reminds you to be hopeful, maybe a quote that lifts your spirits, or a dream for the future that fills your heart and keeps you steadily focused on your path.
May our shared reminders of hope lift one another, in times of need and in times of joy.
