Yin & Astrology: Initiation of Summer

Join Hollie for a deep dive into the beginning of the Summer season. Here we enter the season of Joy through the cool, nurturing waters of the Cancer archetype. This can be an experience of expansion and exuberance as we have an opportunity to connect to our childlike state of wonder and present-moment experience of the now. This includes tending to emotions as they are in any given moment while remembering that they all pass with time, just as waves on the surface of the ocean ebb and flow and change again and again.

Pulling from astrological, taoist, and other ancient philosophies, we will honor this initiatory energy through contemplation of the essence of the season. We will review how this time of year was translated in ancient astrology, look at current astrological movements of the stars, and find threads of integration with how it is connected to our own bodies through theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During this practice we can spend some time looking at individual birth charts. Reach out to Hollie if you need a copy of yours.

The workshop will conclude with a contemplative Yin practice where we can allow the activity of the mind to settle into the wisdom of the body.

This workshop is in-person only, but a recording will also be available for those who cannot attend the day of the event.
