You may have experienced the grounding benefits of yoga, yet still feel like you’re skimming the surface of your inner world. Or perhaps your practice brings you ease, but sometimes becomes a place to avoid what is feeling challenging. Spaces of comfort matter. And when the time is right, it can be supportive to meet yourself and life more fully.

In this workshop, we’ll bring together gentle movement and principles from Somatic Experiencing® to help you listen to your body, make room for the sensations and emotions that arise, and grow your capacity to move through life’s ups and downs with steadiness and care.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore gentle asana and movement as ways to come into relationship with the sensations, stories, and emotions held in the body.

  • Learn how to track your internal experience—including sensation, breath patterns, muscle tone, and heart rate—while practicing the Somatic Experiencing® principles of pacing and titration, so you can stay within a supportive range.

  • Practice simple tools for regulation and rest, building a sense of steadiness in the nervous system and expanding your capacity to meet both ease and challenge.

  • Begin to recognize the cues of regulation and dysregulation in your body and learn what supports you in moments of activation, overwhelm, or shutdown.

We’ll close with a brief iRest® yoga nidra practice and take time to notice how your body responds. You’ll be invited to reflect on any shifts as a way of gently integrating what you explored and giving your system space to settle before we end our time together.

Who This Is For

Anyone seeking a gentle, embodied way to reconnect with themselves—whether you're newer to somatic work or wanting to deepen your practice.
